Professional insulation removal involves taking out existing insulation materials that are damaged, contaminated, improperly installed or no longer suitable for the building. Depending on the project, removal may involve loose-fill insulation, fiberglass batts or other materials located in accessible attics, crawl spaces, floors and wall cavities.
Before removal begins, the existing insulation and surrounding conditions should be evaluated. Water intrusion, pest activity, air leakage and other underlying problems may need to be addressed before new insulation is installed.
True North's approach is centered on evaluating the material, planning the removal and preparing the space for a replacement system that meets the building's needs.
Older homes may also contain materials that require specialized testing or handling. When asbestos, hazardous contamination or other regulated materials are suspected, appropriate evaluation and qualified remediation must take place before ordinary insulation removal proceeds.
